Transitioning: Covering it Up with Head Wraps
picture of woman with headwrap.Headwraps are a pretty discrete way to grow out your hair. Imagine it: you can wake up in the morning, take a shower, dress, get your wrap and VOILA, within minutes you're an African beauty.

Not to be redundant but I love this style too.  Although an inherent element to the African tradition, divas such as Erykah Badu breathed life into this style in the late '90s and within time, everyone from teenagers to grandmothers were sporting them with greater pride and frequency than ever before.

Since you're only limited by your imagination and the amount of fabric you have, head wraps are very versatile.

There are a few disadvantages however; having your head covered for the majority of the day can get pretty aggravating if you're always on the move. Not to mention if your the type who likes big, dramatic wraps, getting in and out of your car could take the good part of five minutes. But aside from that, they're fun and an easy way to cover up when you're having a bad hair day.
