The 10 Ways to Grow Dreadlocks

Growing Dreadlocks with Two-Strand Twists
A very popular natural hair style has made it's way into Dreadlocks formation.  Two-strand twists are a good way to sta

rt dreadlocks on regular and softer hair types. Over time, hair that frays from the two-strand twists can be palm-rolled back into the twist which will eventually give it a dreadlocked appearance.

Two-strands are one of the top choices for those wishing to lock their hair.  They offer ease of maintenance and can be attempted without the aid of a professional stylist.

At least two inches of hair is needed for this technique. Two-strand twists are similar to braiding except two strands of hair are twisted together as opposed to three.

how do you re-wrap new growth after having yarn locks for a while? and does this work for medium length hair?

I'm scared that I'm not grasping the concept of yarn locks. I wanna see how I'd look with dreadlocks, and was going to use yarn locks as a first but I want small uniformed looking locks that are about the diameter of about 4 toothpicks tied together so they aren't huge and don't loc huge. What should I do? And how should I wrap them if I have really fine hair, and in what direction should I hold them to wrap them?
