QUESTION
What sort of relationship do you have with Native Americans and how do they regard you considering the same oppressors have oppressed you both?

I can’t say with full authority seeing as how most Native Americans live on reservations. Many of us have Native American relatives, but I can’t really say how well the two groups get along.

To be honest, I don’t think we interact with them enough for there even to be a couple of answers to this question.

I have a very strong Native American Background however, I am classified as African American (I prefer Black). Just as African Americans many records were not kept or destroyed. The Kinship between Native Americans and African Americans historically has afforded those to be cross classified and the only ones who are really acknowledged are documented Native Americans not those of us who have the traditions without the paperwork. There is a seperation with regards to racism and classism as even African Americans were oppressed differently based on skin color and still based on socioeconomic statis
